About The Position

Kroll is seeking a Senior Associate / Consultant, Data Governance to support the growth and delivery of enterprise data governance initiatives within our Cyber & Data Resilience practice. This is a client-facing consulting role focused on project delivery, solution implementation, and subject matter execution across regulated and complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3+ years of experience in data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, data management, or technology consulting, preferably within a Big 4 or comparable consulting environment. This role is best suited for a hands-on practitioner who can support and execute data governance initiatives while working closely with senior leadership and client stakeholders. The Senior Associate / Consultant will help organizations improve visibility, control, protection, and governance of enterprise data through operational governance frameworks, technology enablement, and risk-aligned implementation activities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Technology Risk, Data Protection, IT Consulting, or related areas.
  • Prior consulting experience strongly preferred, ideally within Big 4 consulting, cybersecurity consulting firms, or enterprise technology consulting environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or regulated environment initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly with clients and participating in project delivery activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across fast-paced consulting engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of enterprise data governance engagements including assessments, operating model development, governance framework implementation, and roadmap execution.
  • Assist clients with establishing and operationalizing governance capabilities across data discovery and classification, lineage and metadata management, data quality and stewardship, retention and lifecycle management, privacy, and data risk management.
  • Participate in workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering sessions with business, technology, cybersecurity, and privacy teams.
  • Translate client business and regulatory requirements into practical governance processes, workflows, and technology configurations.
  • Support implementation and integration activities across governance, privacy, CMDB, security, and IT ecosystems.
  • Develop client-ready deliverables including governance frameworks, policies and standards, process flows, risk assessments, operating models, executive presentations, and implementation documentation.
  • Support deployment, configuration, integration, and operationalization activities related to leading governance and security platforms such as BigID, Securiti, Cyera, Symmetry Systems, OneTrust, ServiceNow, and BMC Helix.
  • Support metadata and classification workflows.
  • Assist with CMDB and asset inventory integrations.
  • Help align governance tooling with security controls and data protection strategies.
  • Support automation and workflow orchestration initiatives.
  • Support clients in aligning governance capabilities to regulatory and industry frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, NYDFS 500, SEC/FINRA requirements, and NIST or ISO-based governance practices.
  • Assist in identifying data-related risks and remediation opportunities.
  • Contribute to governance maturity assessments and control evaluation activities.
  • Help clients establish governance metrics, reporting, and operational oversight processes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Cybersecurity, Privacy, IAM, Cloud Security, AI Governance, and Enterprise Architecture practices.
  • Support internal capability development efforts including templates, accelerators, methodologies, and reusable assets.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, practice development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior analysts or interns when applicable and support collaborative team culture.
