About The Position

The Senior Data Governance Analyst will lead in the management of governance processes, revise existing governance processes, and implement new processes that are aligned with corporate priorities and initiatives. This role involves using and supporting data governance and analytical tools, evaluating data quality, applications, and workflow functions, and informing workflows for data governance, data quality, data catalog, master data, reference data, and data lifecycle management. The analyst will identify and implement efficiencies to simplify, streamline, and transform data governance processes. A key responsibility is partnering with Information Services to establish standards and capture appropriate metadata in Informatica for all data assets, creating processes to manage this on an ongoing basis. The role also includes leading reviews of new data assets, applying governance principles to determine how best to implement them into the data governance environment. Additionally, the Senior Data Governance Analyst will lead stakeholder engagement, project oversight, and service request management across the enterprise, establishing strategic relationships with business and technical stakeholders to identify opportunities for implementing governance principles and driving enterprise-wide collaboration. The analyst will lead project delivery in partnership with stakeholders, take full ownership of managing incoming data governance requests (triaging, assigning, and ensuring timely execution), and lead the analysis, monitoring, and resolution of complex data governance-related issues. The role also involves identifying, conducting, and overseeing ad-hoc data and process analyses as required. Support for the growth of the data governance office team and capabilities is crucial, including mentoring and coaching less experienced analysts, developing and facilitating training on data governance topics, and integrating current industry trends and best practices into the organization's data governance strategies. The Senior Data Governance Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert and primary resource for data governance and data management across the enterprise, leading by example in cooperation with staff to achieve departmental and enterprise objectives, and proactively taking on additional responsibilities and driving cross-functional initiatives.
