About The Position
EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution – Deal Management – Financial Services practice works on complex, high-profile global transactions in the financial services sector. The practice prepares and executes separation and integration plans, identifies opportunities and sources of value enhancement, and advises clients on risk mitigation and successful changes to operations, functions, and people. As a Senior Associate-Consultant, you will support and execute operationally focused projects and help the client service team develop strategies for transactions. You will gain experience across different engagement types, including pre- and post-deal phases. The role involves working on cross-functional project teams, contributing to business development and practice initiatives, developing professional skills through learning and coaching, and cultivating relationships with clients and key decision makers. The position is based in New York or Chicago, and requires residence within commuting distance of the applicable office. Travel and work beyond standard hours may be necessary based on client and project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
- Experience in a consulting environment working with banking and capital markets clients.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Ability to prioritize effectively on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
- Solid negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to develop long-lasting relationships internally and externally.
- Must reside in or be within a commutable distance of the office location.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

- Previous experience in mergers or acquisitions transactions.
- Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
- Knowledge of leveraging firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
