About The Position

The Senior Associate will join Baker Tilly’s Value Acceleration Office (VAO), part of its Managed Services offering. The VAO helps clients stabilize financial operations, implement cloud accounting systems, and build scalable processes through project-based work that prepares clients for transition to recurring service teams. This role combines accounting knowledge, project support, and technology to support client onboarding and accounting system implementations, modernize financial operations, and facilitate a smooth transition to ongoing support.

Requirements

At least 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, BILL.com, or Ramp.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Commitment to accurate, high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; equivalent experience is considered.
Professional services experience.
Familiarity with project management practices.

Responsibilities

Implement and optimize cloud accounting solutions and perform accounting readiness services.
Support client deliverables by providing accounting guidance and answering software-related questions, escalating issues when appropriate.
Design and optimize accounting processes.
Prepare documentation to support a smooth transition to recurring service teams.
Communicate project progress, flag risks and roadblocks early, and seek clarification to maintain project momentum.
Deliver high-quality work on time while meeting client expectations and project budgets.
Build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively across internal teams.
Follow established processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
Develop accounting and technology expertise through ongoing learning, certifications, and knowledge sharing.
