Requirements

  • Proven ability to perform the core duties outlined above.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
  • Background in public accounting or a client-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
  • Active CPA certification or working toward completion.
  • Experience with Real Estate clients and/or nonprofit organizations.
  • Prior experience with Engagement Manager, CCH ProSystem fx, and CCH Axcess.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare partnership tax returns.
  • Support annual financial audit statements of real estate projects.
  • Assist with construction accounting needs.
  • Prepare development cost certifications for LIHTC and HTC projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong documentation.
  • Develop and utilize Microsoft Excel capabilities (shortcuts, formulas, pivot tables) to organize and analyze property-level financial data, support calculations, and automate tasks.
  • Support the creation and management of financial statements, tax returns, and real estate-related reports.
  • Identify complex tax or audit issues and assist in determining practical solutions.
  • Gather information and manage timelines for assigned work.
  • Review staff workpapers to ensure conclusions are clear, complete, and properly supported.
  • Strengthen client relationships through insights, prompt responses, and a solution-focused approach.
  • Deliver meaningful, reliable results while looking for ways to improve processes and enhance service quality.
  • Invest in personal development through coaching, feedback, and ongoing technical development.
