About The Position

At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Networking, we are building the next generation of high-performance silicon to power networking at scale. This is not a coordination role—it is a high-impact leadership position at the center of one of the most technically complex programs in the company. As a Senior ASIC Program Manager, you will drive end-to-end delivery of cutting-edge ASICs, connecting silicon engineering, systems, firmware, and operations. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, influence without authority, and ensure execution stays on track across a fast-moving, high-stakes environment. You will own the planning, execution, and delivery of complex ASIC/SoC and Hardware New Product Introduction (NPI) programs—from early concept through production and end-of-life. This role sits at the intersection of silicon, hardware, and software, ensuring alignment on schedule, cost, quality, and technical performance. You will lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites and partner closely with executive leadership to drive program success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
  • 8+ years of program management experience, including 3–5+ years in ASIC program leadership
  • Strong understanding of ASIC/SoC and hardware NPI development flows
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end ASIC programs, including at least two full tape-out cycles
  • Track record of delivering multiple complex ASIC/SoC programs through bring-up and production
  • Experience managing large-scale programs (50+ engineers, multi-site teams, multi-million dollar budgets)
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional engineering teams across multiple locations
  • Expertise in program planning, scheduling, risk management, and dependency tracking
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, characterization, or ATE/bench validation
  • Experience managing foundry or vendor relationships (NRE, mask costs, qualification)
  • Familiarity with program management tools such as Smartsheet or equivalent
  • Experience with leading-edge process nodes (7nm or below) is a plus
  • PMP, CSM, or similar certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full ASIC/SoC and hardware NPI lifecycle, including: architecture, RTL, design verification, physical design, tape-out, silicon bring-up, validation, and production release
  • Own program scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality; define milestones and drive accountability
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, including dependencies and critical path analysis
  • Drive silicon bring-up readiness, including hardware/software alignment, lab infrastructure, and validation strategy
  • Drive execution across engineering disciplines: RTL, DV, physical design, DFT, CAD, test, packaging, product engineering, systems, and firmware
  • Lead alignment across teams without direct authority; resolve conflicts and escalate when needed
  • Partner with product management and systems engineering to align features, performance targets (PPA), and delivery timelines
  • Mentor or coordinate with program managers and project leads as program complexity scales
  • Track program health through metrics and dashboards; proactively manage risks and trade-offs
  • Deliver clear, structured updates to executives and stakeholders across global teams
  • Drive continuous improvement of program management processes
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, including ISO 9000
