About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior AS400 Developer for a long-term contract opportunity based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with IBM i (AS400) development, RPG programming, database technologies, and production support within a complex enterprise environment.

Applicants must be based in the Philadelphia / King of Prussia area and available to work onsite five days per week. The interview process includes two virtual interviews followed by a final face-to-face interview. Applicants must have valid US work authorization; OPT candidates cannot be considered.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in IBM i / AS400 development.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
• Solid experience with DB2/400 and SQL/400.
• Proven experience providing production support and troubleshooting complex applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within an established technical environment.
• Must be based in the Philadelphia / King of Prussia area and available to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications within the IBM i / AS400 environment.
• Design, code, test, and troubleshoot applications using RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
• Work with DB2/400 and SQL/400 for database development and optimization.
• Provide production support, investigate issues, and implement effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements.
• Support application maintenance, enhancements, and ongoing system stability.
