About The Position

K2 leverages culture and insights to bring brands to life in the right contexts, creating and producing compelling experiences for luxury clients. With offices globally, K2 offers a worldwide approach to managing brand experiential strategies from concept to execution. They are seeking a Senior Architectural & Experiential Designer for their NY location to help bring these experiences to life across the U.S. This role is responsible for leading multiple event and production design projects through all stages of the design process, including conceptualization, development, reviews, communications, quality control, scheduling, and reporting. The designer will collaborate closely with the K2 America design and production teams, reporting to the Head of Design. The ideal candidate is creative, technical, possesses good time management skills, and has experience in architecture and production design.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in interior design, production design or architecture.
Bachelor/Master degree from an accredited school.
Passionate about design, culture & art with a well-rounded design lens.
Detail oriented, organized, and a team player.
Takes initiative and has the ability to work under tight timelines.
Exceptional communication skills including both verbal and visual means of communication.
Proficiency in 3D modeling and realistic rendering ability using software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, Enscape or similar as well as the Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

Develop design concepts and help translate existing luxury brand concepts into new locations.
Work closely with the Head of Design and production team to develop and realize design concepts.
Create elevated spatial design experiences for luxury clientele of all kinds.
Create renderings and visuals that clearly and accurately communicate designs to clients.
Build out client facing decks for design round presentations.
Assist the production team and Head of Design in communicating with clients, freelancers, vendors and fabricators.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and material sourcing.
Technical design and drafting skills with general knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques and materials.
Ability to produce a set of construction drawings for fabrication.
Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
