Position Overview C&S is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer with strong design, technical, and creative skills to provide architectural design with a focus on industrial and aviation facilities. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of design experience and a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program. In this role, you will work under the direction of a project architect and/or project manager and will often coordinate technical design aspects with a multi-disciplinary team of designers and engineers as well as prepare presentation and design drawings and details.

Requirements

4+ years of substantial experience developing architectural details and providing planning and design support during design development.
Experience gained through full-time employment under the supervision of a licensed Architect.
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program (Bachelor of Architecture, or Master of Architecture).

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate architectural design solutions from concept through construction.
Apply advanced design knowledge to develop creative, functional, and sustainable solutions with the client’s goals and budget in mind.
Collaborate with a team of design professionals to win and successfully execute projects.
Demonstrate strong ethics, teamwork, and client relationship management.
Deliver projects that meet contractual obligations, schedule, and financial goals.
Ensure project quality and client satisfaction throughout all phases.
Conduct on-site field work within active industrial and aviation facilities.
Utilize Autodesk Revit and 3-D point cloud scanning technology to develop accurate BIM models.
Research and understand the impacts of building codes, accessibility requirements, client-driven standards such as FM Global compliance.
Develop recommendations on project feasibility under the guidance of a licensed Architect.
Lay out building designs, review codes and regulations, and coordinate plans with consultants and engineers, working closely with a project architect.
Communicate design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Prepare and coordinate detailed construction documents, including plans, details, schedules, and specifications, for permitting and bidding.
Coordinate with, and provide architectural support for, mechanical process, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and structural engineering work.
Participate in on-site construction administration, including meetings with clients, contractors, and building officials.
Support punch lists, RFIs, and project closeout activities under the supervision of an Architect.
