About The Position

Join a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering environment focused on designing spaces and infrastructure that strengthen communities. This is a full-time, primarily office-based position in Pensacola, Florida, with regular opportunities to remain connected to projects through site visits and client interaction. The position offers the opportunity to lead meaningful architectural work from design through construction, collaborate across disciplines and office locations, mentor developing professionals, and expand technical and project leadership capabilities. Travel is expected up to approximately 20% for project sites, client meetings, professional development, and other project-related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 8+ years of relevant architectural experience, including demonstrated production and project management leadership.
  • Florida architectural license required, or the ability to become licensed in Florida.
  • Specialized architectural project experience within Healthcare and Education environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit and strong experience producing coordinated construction documents.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, architectural standards, construction methods, and project documentation.
  • Experience carrying projects through design, documentation, bidding/award, construction administration, and closeout.
  • Strong multidisciplinary coordination and QA/QC capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, reviewing agencies, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Pensacola, FL, possess a valid driver's license, and be comfortable traveling to project sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and rendering applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and execution of complex architectural projects from early concepts through construction and closeout.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and internal department leaders.
  • Produce and oversee technically accurate, code-compliant construction documents with a strong emphasis on constructability.
  • Perform multidisciplinary QA/QC reviews to maintain design standards and reduce project risk.
  • Lead construction administration activities, including site visits, field measurements, RFIs, submittmits, permitting, and project closeout.
  • Translate complex client requirements into practical architectural and technical solutions.
  • Serve as a technical resource on building systems, architectural processes, construction methods, and project delivery.
  • Help define project scopes, schedules, technical strategies, and consultant responsibilities.
  • Mentor junior architectural staff and share technical expertise across teams and offices.
  • Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and milestone presentations while contributing to improvements in project delivery standards and workflows.
