Position Summary: Technical Expertise Enterprise Data Platforms & Modernization: Deep experience in Hadoop ecosystems, Cloudera CDP upgrades, federated compute/storage architecture, and advanced data lake solutions. Infrastructure Scaling & Optimization: Proven ability to deliver creative infrastructure growth, implement secure and governed architectures, and enable self-service capabilities. Risk Management & Compliance: Strong background in vulnerability remediation) OS upgrades and automation strategies to reduce technical debt and improve efficiency. Innovation & Emerging Technologies: Track record of delivering AI/GenAI solutions, decommissioning legacy platforms, and implementing cost-efficient in-house models. Strategic Program Delivery Successful execution of large-scale application migrations, platform upgrades, and modernization initiatives supporting critical regulatory programs. Ability to secure and manage multi-million-dollar funding for technology programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Organizational Engagement Active participation in executive leadership programs and innovation councils. Commitment to diversity and inclusion through mentorship and community engagement. Job Description: This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution that supports the strategic outcomes of the Business' Products and Services. Key responsibilities include defining the target operating environment, designing for client resiliency, assisting with solution design, and defining non-functional requirements. Job expectations include working with stakeholders and service providers aligned to the Business' strategic objectives, evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions, and contributing to the architecture roadmap.

Requirements

Extensive experience (10+ yrs) with Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Impala, Hive, Hbase etc.
Strong knowledge of Hadoop Architecture, HDFS, Hadoop Cluster and Hadoop Administrator's role
Intimate knowledge of fully integrated AD/Kerberos authentication
Experience setting up optimum cluster configurations
Debugging knowledge of YARN.
Hands-on with analyzing various Hadoop log files, compression, encoding, & file formats
Expert level knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Kafka, Impala, SOLR, Hue, Spark, Hive, YARN, Zookeeper and Postgres
Strong technical knowledge: Unix/Linux; Database (Sybase/SQL/Oracle), Java, Python, Perl, Shell scripting, Infrastructure.
Experience in Monitoring & Alerting, and Job Scheduling Systems
Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
Strong grasp of automation / DevOps tools – Ansible, Jenkins, SVN, Bitbucket

Responsibilities

Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog to enable the technology roadmap and functionality to support evolving capabilities and services
Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and the development of best practices including standardized templates
Clarifies the architecture, assists with system design to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments
Facilitates solution driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through knowledge of domain, practical experiments, and proof of concepts while ensuring architecture is flexible, modular, and adaptable
Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions
Supports the team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions and helps select preferred technology products
Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
