About The Position

CitiusTech is seeking a Senior Architect with deep expertise in ontology, knowledge graphs, semantic technologies, Azure, and data architecture. The role focuses on designing and governing enterprise-scale healthcare ontology platforms, AI-enabled semantic solutions, and agentic development ecosystems. Experience with Stardog and Databricks is highly desirable. The position is a contract role based in Irving, Texas, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office. A client interview may take place in person. Travel expenses for exceptional non-local candidates may be covered on a case-by-case basis; selected candidates must work from the office starting on day one. The architect will guide the use of agentic IDEs for complex, multi-module and cross-service changes; define architectural intent, guardrails, and governance for autonomous coding agents; and establish review practices for AI-generated code. The role also evaluates how agentic IDEs affect the software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, security, and technical debt, while mentoring teams on responsible AI-assisted development.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise application development.
  • At least 5 years leading architecture for enterprise applications or complex technology solutions.
  • Strong experience with semantic technologies, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and modern data platforms.
  • Experience designing cloud-native applications, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing AI-enabled or data-driven solutions using modern cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence architecture decisions across Product, Engineering, Security, Data, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering systems using agentic IDEs.
  • Ability to define architectural intent for agents and break features into agent-executable tasks.
  • Ability to govern AI autonomy through guardrails, permissions, and reviews.
  • Experience integrating agentic workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience supervising AI agents across multi-service systems, legacy modernization, and large codebases or monorepos.
  • Strong understanding of security implications of autonomous code execution, compliance, auditability, traceability, and AI-assisted SDLC operating models.
  • Engineering degree: BE, ME, BTech, MTech, BSc, or MSc.
  • Must work from the office from day one upon selection.

  • Experience with Stardog and Databricks.
  • Technical certifications in multiple technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design system architectures that support AI-augmented and agentic development workflows.

  • Define guardrails, standards, permissions, reviews, and governance for autonomous coding agents.
  • Guide the effective use of agentic IDEs for complex, multi-module, and cross-service changes.
  • Establish review practices and quality checks for AI-generated code.
  • Mentor team members on balancing autonomy, correctness, and maintainability in AI-assisted development.
  • Integrate agentic workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Evaluate the impact of agentic IDEs on the SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, security posture, and technical debt.
