Senior Architect
About The Position
The Senior Architect will join Akamai's Platform IAM team within the Cloud Technology Group. The team designs and operates platforms that enable customers to control cloud assets and owns IAM toolsets for the Cloud Manager website and APIs. The role focuses on technical direction and architecture design rather than hands-on development, partnering with a global team and colleagues across management, engineering, product management, quality engineering, and site reliability engineering. The architect evaluates proposed software systems and solutions against technical requirements, supports operational success, promotes common software and systems building blocks, and helps determine when to build internally versus use third-party technologies.
Requirements
- 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to take a big-picture approach to complex software architectures.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and products.
- Experience with the software development life cycle using modern tools.
- Proven success working with complex, highly available systems with global reach.
Responsibilities
