About The Position

This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution that supports the strategic outcomes of the Business' Products and Services. Key responsibilities include defining the target operating environment, designing for client resiliency, assisting with solution design, and defining non-functional requirements. Job expectations include working with stakeholders and service providers aligned to the Business' strategic objectives, evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions, and contributing to the architecture roadmap. The Regulated Messaging Automation Architect will support the Enterprise Communications Intake, Retention, and Monitoring (ECIRM) program by designing and implementing scalable solutions for electronic communications compliance, data retention, operational monitoring, and automation. The role will partner with product, architecture, engineering, automation, operations, and compliance teams to modernize regulatory communication platforms and improve onboarding, observability, reporting, and control capabilities across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or platform engineering.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience building automation frameworks and operational tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of API-based integrations and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience designing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
  • Strong understanding of resiliency, reliability, scalability, and security principles.
  • Experience producing architecture documentation, technical designs, and implementation standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technology, compliance, and business organizations.

  • Experience within financial services, compliance, or regulated technology environments.
  • Experience supporting electronic communications compliance, records management, retention, supervision, surveillance, or eDiscovery platforms.
  • Experience with messaging and collaboration technologies such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SMS, and other communication platforms.
  • Experience designing operational dashboards and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design architecture solutions supporting electronic communications intake, retention, monitoring, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop reusable onboarding patterns, integration standards, and automation frameworks for enterprise applications.
  • Design and implement monitoring, alerting, reporting, and operational visibility solutions for messaging platforms and data pipelines.
  • Create reconciliation and data quality control frameworks to validate completeness and integrity of regulatory communication records.
  • Define and implement operational dashboards and reporting capabilities for engineering, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Support development of self-service portals and automation tools to reduce manual operational effort.
  • Partner with application teams to onboard new communication platforms and data sources into the regulatory ecosystem.
  • Produce architecture artifacts, solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation guidance.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to incorporate secure-by-design principles and enterprise security standards.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure architecture designs are successfully implemented and operationalized.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability, reliability, auditability, and operational efficiency.
  • Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and the development of best practices including standardized templates
  • Clarifies the architecture, assists with system design to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments
  • Facilitates solution driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through knowledge of domain, practical experiments, and proof of concepts while ensuring architecture is flexible, modular, and adaptable
  • Supports the team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions and helps select preferred technology products
  • Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
