About The Position

ElevATE Semiconductor designs low-power, high-density integrated circuits for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), including integrated pin electronics. Applications Engineering connects customers with Design, Product, and Quality Engineering. The team creates customer guides, builds evaluation boards and software, and leads technical debugging when products do not work as expected in customer systems. The Senior Applications Engineer takes customer issues and new evaluation modules from start to finish with limited supervision. The role spends substantial time in the lab, owns documentation for supported products, and serves as a primary technical contact for customers. It also supports product development from concept through production release, quality and reliability analysis, and sales activities. The anticipated annual base salary range is $110,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation depends on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, location, and business needs. Employees may also be eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of professional experience in applications, test, product, or systems engineering on semiconductor products.
Extensive hands-on experience with bench equipment, including oscilloscopes, SMUs, power supplies, AWGs, and probing techniques, including recognizing when a test setup is causing the problem.
Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits.
Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical findings to engineers and managers.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

Experience in semiconductor test, ATE, measurement equipment, or high-performance instrumentation.
Experience in analog or mixed-signal design or transistor-level debugging.
Exposure to PCB design review and bring-up, or experience with tools such as Altium or Allegro.
Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools such as LTspice or PSpice.
Experience using programming languages or tools for test automation and data analysis, such as Python, C, JMP, or Excel.

Responsibilities

Lead complex customer and system-level investigations by defining problems, reproducing them in the lab, driving root-cause analysis with Design, Product, and Quality Engineering, and closing the loop with customers.
Generate technical documentation for ElevATE products, including datasheets, product guides, application notes, and other materials supporting customer integration.
Work with internal engineering teams to bring new products from initial concept through production release.
Perform bench testing and analysis to respond to customer inquiries and troubleshoot issues; reproduce customer observations and provide guidance on using ElevATE parts.
Support failure, quality, and reliability analysis with the operations team.
Coordinate with Sales throughout the sales process, including recommending products for new customer designs and participating in on-site customer visits to promote ElevATE IC products.
Own product documentation and serve as the customer's go-to technical contact.
