About The Position
RenXTech is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to work primarily as a software engineer. This role requires a blend of Software Engineering and Systems Administrator skillsets to manage infrastructure as code solutions. The candidate will be part of a team supporting various DevOps needs across different skill levels.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- 5 or more years of AWS experience (building resources with CloudFormation, using AWS SDKs like Ruby, Python, Java)
- 5 or more years of Object Oriented Programming background (Ruby, Python, Java, or NodeJS)
- Experience with Jenkins and creating Jenkins Pipelines
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices
- 1 to 2 years of experience with Docker and a container orchestration tool (Docker Compose, ECS)
- 5 years of Bash shell scripting experience
- 2 years experience with GitHub and any branching strategy
- Team player and ability to work well with others regardless of skill levels
Nice To Haves
- Java experience
- Experience with AWS CDK
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain AWS resources using CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code solutions.
- Support software installations using Puppet.
- Build and maintain Docker containers.
- Utilize Docker Orchestration tools like ECS or Docker Compose.
- Create shared Jenkins libraries.
- Support Mesos/Marathon.
- Assist development teams in utilizing AWS correctly.
- Collaborate with various teams requiring DevOps support.
