About The Position

East West Bank is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to ensure the availability, resiliency, and modernization of applications supporting core banking operations. This role goes beyond production support and includes strengthening disaster recovery capabilities, advancing enterprise automation, modernizing application platforms, and supporting cloud transformation as critical services move to Microsoft Azure and vendor-hosted solutions. The engineer will solve complex technical challenges and improve the reliability of business-critical systems.

The role supports mission-critical enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle and works with infrastructure, security, cloud, database, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions. The position also develops technical documentation, operational standards, and recovery procedures.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience supporting or engineering enterprise application platforms in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical applications with strict uptime and resiliency requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including application migration, deployment, administration, monitoring, and operational support.
• Experience leading or participating in cloud migration, application modernization, or platform transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server, PowerShell, IIS, application architecture, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, failover testing, workload automation, and operational resiliency programs.
• Strong understanding of ITIL service management practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Proven ability to create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and recovery procedures.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience working with vendor-hosted, SaaS, or hybrid application environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise workload automation and scheduling platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud governance, security controls, monitoring, and cost optimization practices.
