About The Position

Anakim Consulting is seeking a Senior Application Packaging and Endpoint Systems Engineer to support enterprise endpoint infrastructure, application lifecycle management, and workflow automation at the Katherine Johnson IV&V Facility in Fairmont, West Virginia. This is an on-site role requiring eligibility for Public Trust security access. The engineer will lead packaging, customization, and silent deployment of more than 100 critical software applications across physical workstations and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), administer Quest KACE SMA and HCL BigFix, and build automated IT workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and SharePoint Online. The role includes packaging and maintaining commercial and custom applications; creating and validating Windows Installer packages and silent deployments; managing endpoint tools, patch lifecycles, and compliance activities; and developing business process workflows connected to SharePoint and external systems. The engineer will monitor security notices and mitigation requirements, remediate endpoint vulnerabilities within mandated deadlines, and document operating procedures, packaging recipes, and user guides.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship; dual citizenship is not permitted.
Current NASA security access or ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Public Trust security access.
Bachelor's or associate's degree in a related discipline such as Network Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
12 or more years of related experience in software application lifecycle management.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making abilities.
Excellent oral, written, and customer service communication skills across organizational levels.
At least 5 years of hands-on Windows application packaging and silent enterprise deployment experience.
Proficiency with Flexera AdminStudio, including Repackager, Tuner, InstallShield, and Conflict Solver.
At least 3 years of direct Quest KACE SMA (K1000) and HCL BigFix administration experience.
Ability to write custom BigFix Relevance queries and Action Scripts.
At least 3 years of experience developing and maintaining Power Automate workflows integrated with SharePoint Online and REST APIs.
At least 3 years of advanced PowerShell and VBScript scripting experience for endpoint configuration automation.
At least 3 years of web application development or maintenance experience.
Solid understanding of Windows client/server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and core networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting NASA, federal civil agencies, or DoD IV&V facilities.
Advanced experience resolving complex DLL and registry conflicts and performing table-level MSI customization.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration in relation to BigFix databases.

Responsibilities

Package, maintain, and support more than 100 COTS and custom applications across enterprise workstations and VDI environments.
Build, modify, and optimize MSI packages and MST transform files using Flexera AdminStudio and Repackager tools.
Convert vendor EXE and legacy installers into clean, unattended, silent installations.
Edit MSI database tables to resolve Internal Consistency Errors (ICEs) and conflicts.
Create custom installation actions and PowerShell and VBScript wrapper scripts for registry, file system, and prerequisite handling.
Validate deployment packages on clean baseline virtual machines before production rollout.
Maintain Quest KACE SMA (K1000) appliance operations; deploy and monitor agents; configure Smart Labels; run discovery scans; schedule KScripts; build SQL reports; and manage Service Desk queues.
Support HCL BigFix core servers, relays, and endpoint agents; author Fixlets, Tasks, and Action Scripts; and write Relevance Language queries for targeting and compliance audits.
Manage third-party application patch lifecycles to minimize enterprise CVE exposure.
Build and maintain business process flows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Online.
Connect workflows to external systems using custom connectors and REST APIs.
Administer IT Services SharePoint site assets, document libraries, metadata columns, and item-level permissions.
Monitor SOC notices and Mitigation Action Requirements and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities within mandated deadlines.
Conduct daily patch verification scans and attend bi-weekly BigFix/security coordination meetings.
Document standard operating procedures, packaging recipes, and user guides.
