About The Position
Internal Transfer Opportunity: Senior Application Developer TSS. Internal job opportunities are only for TSS employees. We are currently recruiting for one full-time Senior Application Developer within Technology Services and Solutions, FES. The Senior Application Developer for Property Tax will act as a strategic, in-house technical leader responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing the mission-critical Tax Collection and Apportionment System (TCAS). By developing deep technical and domain expertise in property tax operations, this senior role will mentor junior staff and drive the ongoing support and advancement of TCAS.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring system reliability and compliance with the California Revenue and Taxation Code
- Close collaboration across technical and business teams to deliver high-availability operations, application enhancements aligned with regulatory and operational needs and robust integrations with County, state, and external systems
- Designing and implementing improvements
- Provides technical leadership and risk mitigation by reducing reliance on contractors, preserving institutional knowledge, and protecting long-term continuity
