About The Position

The Application Architect will be the team leader, providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation, and transition of large, complex systems. This individual is responsible for performing the following tasks: Providing design and development of the Client solutions and taking responsibility for technical design and implementation of the architecture. Designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and backend applications. Providing expertise with web servers, gateways, application servers and content management systems. Providing experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions. Researching new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes. Comparing various solutions and determining the most suitable and ensuring that development efforts are well-planned and in compliance with standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• At least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing web-accessible IT systems using AngularJS.
• Led or been chief architect for a minimum of two (2) years in a major IT applications implementation effort.
• Strong background with CJIS data security requirements as they relate to software engineering principles and techniques for public safety.

Nice To Haves

• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL database structures and SQL Reporting Services.
• Familiarity with Maryland's regulated firearm and handgun permitting laws.
