About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Architect for a hybrid role with a Global Financial Institution in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite. The selected candidate will be responsible for architecture activities and decisions for a suite of related applications within the Payments domain, designing and building high throughput, low latency applications using microservices and cloud-native principles.

Requirements

Deep understanding of DDD, distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, Cloud native, and UML
Demonstrable experience designing and building high throughput, low latency applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka
Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or other Cloud Service Provider

Responsibilities

Take a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation readiness, and maintenance
Perform trade-off analysis between scalability, security, resiliency, and availability in designing distributed systems by applying domain expertise, practical experiments and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
Ensure adherence to architecture governance processes and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Provide technical leadership across a broad scale of tools, technologies, and architecture models
Manage multiple development designs and projects concurrently to meet required timelines
