About The Position

ICF’s Digital Modernization division is seeking Senior Appian Developers to support upcoming needs with federal customers. This division is an information technology and management consulting department offering integrated, strategic solutions. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines. ICF is a leading provider of low-code, open-source, and cloud-native solutions to federal agencies, deploying over 1,300 technologists who have built and maintained over 700 systems for digital modernization projects. ICF combines public-sector domain expertise with an ecosystem of platform partners and digital practices to rapidly deliver complex, scalable solutions. ICF has one of the largest federally focused Appian practices with 85-90 trained consultants and a deep center of excellence with solid best practices. ICF will pay for certifications and offers an expansive digital learning platform. Employees receive various training based on job level and skillset, study guides, and in-person training hosted by Appian. Technology professionals may be asked to support growth-related activities, including RFI, RFP, prototypes, and oral presentations. Team members are expected to uphold and maintain appropriate certifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Math, Management Information Systems, or Related Field
  • 3+ years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business critical applications following Agile methodologies
  • 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with Appian
  • 2+ years of experience as a developer in designing, configuring, and debugging forms, reports, business logic, interface components and systems integrations
  • 1+ year of experience with relational databases, DML and DDL SQL scripting
  • US Citizenship or Green Card is required
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.)

Nice To Haves

  • Active Appian Certification
  • Java developer experience is a strong plus
  • Experience working with Appian Sites
  • Recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting
  • Experience with Agile Framework
  • Experience defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations leveraging different architectural views
  • Exposure to common industry platforms and programming languages – Appian, IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBOSS, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.Net is preferred
  • Experience configuring stored procedures
  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
  • Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
