About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant for the Business Credit Card Fraud Strategy Team within Fraud and Claims Management. In this role, you will lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as a key participant in driving the company's credit culture, desire, and business performance for payment risk. You will review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on first-party fraud and payment risk. You will exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals, and interact with internal and external customers. You will collaborate with business and risk oversight to develop effective first-party fraud and payment risk strategies and interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on payment risk-related topics.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ year of hands‑on experience designing and optimizing SQL queries, and performing data analysis using SAS and/or Python

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fraud risk and mitigation including strategies to reduce or mitigate loss and fraud exposures
  • PowerBI and data visualization experience
  • Experience using data and analytics to inform and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Experience with strategy development and implementation
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
