This role utilizes analytical instrumentation—including GC, IR, and HPLC—on a daily basis and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support quality and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Five to Seven (5-7) years of experience in a similar analytical or laboratory role.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and analytical method development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pesticide analysis and extraction is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Test incoming raw materials according to established protocols, clearly communicating pass/fail results and identifying out-of-specification parameters when applicable.
  • Test all in-process batches per established procedures and notify appropriate stakeholders of results.
  • Provide recommendations for re-work or re-blend of in-process batches that do not meet specifications.
  • Continuously improving testing methodologies, documentation, and reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain laboratory instruments and provide guidance on proper use within the Quality Assurance laboratory.
  • Perform scheduled instrument calibrations to ensure accurate, precise, and repeatable results.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to identify and resolve daily technical and quality-related issues.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute required laboratory reports.
  • Follow, write, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs related to analytical instrumentation and testing.
  • Interface with customer technical teams to communicate laboratory capabilities and analytical results.
  • Support method development or adaptation for new raw materials based on supplier or manufacturer input.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
