About The Position

Equiteq is seeking a Senior Analyst in Boston with 18+ months of M&A or transaction services experience to take ownership of sell-side mandates in the knowledge economy. Requirements

  • 18+ months of experience in M&A, investment banking, or transaction services (e.g., financial due diligence), with exposure to live deal execution.
  • Exemplary academic record and demonstrated commitment to achievement.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of financial accounting and concepts like quality of earnings/due diligence.
  • Demonstrable intent to drive excellence through rigor and attention to detail in all work tasks.
  • Highest quality communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent industry analysis capabilities and the ability to extract trends and insights from primary data.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Qualification to degree level in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of specific investment banking databases (e.g., CapitalIQ, Pitchbook).
  • FINRA Series 63 and 79 desired, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research and prepare presentations that identify and explain industry trends, shaping the sector narrative for pitches and live mandates.
  • Own the preparation of confidential operating and transactional models, information memorandums, presentations, and marketing documents to support sale transactions.
  • Take a leading role in the execution of mergers & acquisition advisory mandates, managing all aspects of transaction workstreams including marketing, buyer outreach, due diligence, project management, and coordination.
  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and buyers during live processes.
  • Review the work of Analysts and interns, providing mentorship and setting the standard for quality and accuracy within the deal team.
