The Mayor's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the New York City government's chief financial agency, responsible for assembling and overseeing the Mayor's expense and capital budgets. The FEMA Disaster Recovery Task Force, within the OMB-Managed Grants subdivision, works with City, State, and Federal agencies to aid New York City's recovery from various disaster events. This team coordinates policy, monitors budgets, and ensures compliance with FEMA Public Assistance program requirements. The FEMA Grants Closeout Unit specifically manages the formal reconciliation and programmatic closeout of FEMA grants, which is the final stage of the FEMA grant process and ensures full compliance with regulations and reconciliation of costs before submission to New York State and the Federal government. This is a grant-funded position, with employment dependent on grant funding availability, expected to be at least three years.
