About The Position

S&P Global Ratings is seeking Senior Analysts to join their team. The role involves leading end-to-end credit analysis and surveillance for assigned credits, synthesizing portfolio performance and market signals into decision-ready insights, and embedding generative AI and large language model tools within workflows. The position also requires translating complex data into clear narratives for clients and senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships, and consistently applying methodology, confidentiality, and data governance requirements. Senior Analysts will also guide and coach junior analysts, contributing to automation initiatives to enhance analytical tooling and outputs.

Requirements

  • Strong credit, financial, and risk analysis skills, with the ability to link fundamental drivers to forward-looking risk views.
  • Practical experience embedding generative AI or large language model tools into professional workflows to improve productivity and analytical output.
  • Proficiency in analytical and spreadsheet tools, with a willingness to develop skills in data and automation platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work across multiple credits with limited oversight, and to coach junior colleagues through shared standards and tools.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes through credibility and constructive engagement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analytical content into concise, evidence-based narratives for senior stakeholders and rating committees.
  • High standards for quality, traceability, and governance, with sound judgment on the responsible use of AI tools in a controlled environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued.

  • Lead end-to-end credit analysis and surveillance for assigned credits, delivering timely, high-quality outputs with clear accountability.
  • Synthesize portfolio performance, market signals, and peer context into decision-ready insights, and embed generative AI and large language model tools within workflows while maintaining human accountability for all conclusions.
  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear, evidence-based narratives for clients and senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships through credible, collaborative engagement.
  • Apply methodology, confidentiality, and data governance requirements consistently, escalating issues early and contributing to the responsible design of automation and AI-enabled workflows.
