About The Position

The Sr Analyst, US International Tax reports to the Director, US International Tax. This position will support the US International tax provision and compliance functions. The successful candidate will operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while building and maintaining strong working relationships across the organization and with external advisors. This position will be based in Santa Clara, California, USA.

Requirements

CPA, JD, or equivalent professional certification required
5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) and/or industry roles; experience with large U.S.-based multinationals or SaaS companies is strongly preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax rules with experience in multinational tax operations, tax provision and compliance.
Excellent analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including experience with tax modeling.
Solid skills in tax research, technical analysis, and documentation to support and defend tax positions; ability to maintain audit-ready documentation.
Strong critical thinking skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Team player who builds strong working relationships across departments and demonstrates collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Support the US international quarterly and year-end tax provision process, including preparation of workpaper for GILTI, FDDEI, BEAT, Subpart F, foreign tax credits (FTCs), Section 987, Section 174, CAMT and other relevant areas.
Support the US international tax compliance processes (e.g., 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 1118), ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Support tax-related administrative and operational matters as needed such as applying for EIN, tax residency certificates, preparation of W-8BEN, 8832, etc.
Prepare tax memos related to tax positions taken and required disclosures; maintain audit-ready tax documentation and technical support materials.
Assist the team in developing advanced tax modeling capabilities.
Prepare tax modeling to project annual Effective Tax Rate (ETR) and cash tax impacts to evaluate cross-border transactions, entity structures, and other strategic business projects.
Champion an "AI-first" culture within the global tax team by driving continuous learning and upskilling initiatives.
Identify automation opportunities, translate tax complexities into technical requirements, and support the rollout of modern AI-driven workflows for US International tax provision and compliance processes.
Assist preparation of response to tax audit information requests.
Monitor and analyze changes in domestic and international tax laws and regulations; assess their impact on the company and recommend proactive responses to relevant stakeholders.
Support ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed.
