About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Systems supports the information systems component of the organization. The role contributes to system development, implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support, and helps develop solutions for client requirements. Responsibilities include specifying and documenting system changes, configuring systems, modeling processes and data, and testing changes before release.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
At least 2 years of experience with systems development and implementation.
Implementation and support experience with web-based applications such as EXceed 4000 and order management applications such as LPS 2000, ConnectShip ChainLink, i2s transportation suite, or Logility Voyager.

Nice To Haves

Experience with formal project management practices.
Solid experience in at least one of these business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, or distribution.
Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies.
Understanding of current information systems technologies such as client/server, relational databases, web-based systems, and object-oriented designs.

Responsibilities

Write specifications for new developments and system enhancements.
Assist the project manager with system implementations and upgrades, and provide ongoing support.
Research client requirements, determine system fit and customizations, develop proposals and supporting data for cost estimates, and present GXO capabilities and solutions to client prospects.
Support implementations by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users, and providing post-implementation support.
Develop detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements, and user documentation.
Perform process and data modeling.
Conduct integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before release to key users.
