About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Design develops and executes supply chain optimization scenarios using Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru and proprietary Sysco tools. The role is part of project teams and works collaboratively with Global Support Center teams and field leadership on high-impact, high-visibility initiatives involving distribution territory strategies, facility decisions, product stocking, and profit maximization. The position also supports the development of new Supply Chain Design capabilities and scopes of work through discovery, creative problem solving, and analysis of operational and financial data. The analyst sources, cleanses, and analyzes project data; documents modeling methods, data sources, transformations, assumptions, and constraints; runs model refresh and update queries; and performs custom data collection and extracts for special projects. The role interprets optimization-model results, evaluates results for errors, performs sensitivity analyses, and packages final results for teams including Facilities Planning and Finance. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience in operations planning, supply chain optimization, network optimization, or a combination of these areas. It also requires at least two years of supply chain planning or design experience, including knowledge of optimization principles and software, and understanding of simulation and how it differs from optimization. The job involves travel, with the working-conditions section stating 30–40% travel. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, using a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone, reaching, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 20 pounds.
