About The Position

This is a multi-faceted Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) position, working in support of Special Programs. The candidate will help develop, administer, and maintain a comprehensive security program in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This individual will be required to routinely interface with all levels of management and government customers. You must be a self starter and team player who has the ability to develop and implement solutions to a variety of complex problems. You must also be well organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks daily and effectively re-prioritize tasks when required with excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in Program Security including Personnel Security, Physical/Technical Security, Information Assurance, COMSEC, and Security Awareness Training and Education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Top Secret
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JPAS and Access Commander databases

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to understand, implement and ensure compliance with the DoD Manual 5220.22-M NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives.
  • Assist in the develop, submit for approval, and implement security policies, procedures, and documentation specific to the program such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Security Plans, Operation Security (OPSEC) Plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), etc.
  • Conduct self-inspections and participate in Government Inspections, and recommend /implement corrective actions as required.
  • Create, update, and conduct various security briefings, training, and debriefings.
  • Maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers, peers, and senior management across multiple sites and business units.
  • Attend, support and participate in program meetings, staff meetings, telecons, etc.
  • Respond to walk-in customers
  • Process incoming and outgoing visits
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare written reports
