RxSight® is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California that has commercialized the world’s first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye. OVERVIEW: The Senior Analyst of SEC Reporting will be reporting directly to the Director of SEC Reporting and will support the external reporting and the accounting for share-based compensation functions in accordance with SEC, U.S. GAAP and SOX rules and regulations. This role will assist with the preparation of all SEC filings including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy Statement and review of Form 4 filings. This role will also prepare journal entries and account reconciliations relating to the accounting for stock-based compensation. This is a fully onsite position at our headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA so candidates must reside in or near this city.

Requirements

  • CPA and Public/Big 4 accounting experience preferred
  • Previous experience in SEC reporting and share-based compensation
  • Experience in medical devices preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative, to adapt to changing priorities, and to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a team player
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Able to handle stressful situations with tight deadlines
  • BS and/or MS degree in Accounting
  • CPA with 3+ years of experience in a similar role, Big 4 highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX compliance
  • ERP experience required
  • Experience with Active Disclosure, Workiva or similar software
  • Experience with EquityEdge, Solium (or a similar equity administration platform)
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • ERP in manufacturing environment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the coordination and preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10-K), current reports (8-K), Proxy Statements, and other filings as needed.
  • Coordinate the collection of financial and non-financial information needed for the various filings.
  • Review disclosures for completeness, accuracy and compliance with SEC rules and regulations.
  • Prepare stock-based compensation accounting entries and reconcile related balance sheet accounts.
  • Support other month end close activities as needed.
  • Prepare all equity and stock-based compensation schedules for reporting, including EPS.
  • Review XBRL tags for accuracy and completeness
  • Complete disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires
  • Maintain reporting calendar and monitor progress against key reporting deadlines
  • Assess the impact of recently issued accounting standards
  • Assist internal stakeholders and external auditors, as needed
  • Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Stay up to date on FASB, SEC and PCAOB developments
  • Partner with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting
