Solve by Talent is partnering with the University of Sydney to recruit a Senior Analyst Programmer, SEAMS to support the delivery of key Information and Communications Technology (ICT) initiatives that help shape the future of education, research, and innovation. As a Senior Analyst Programmer (SEAMS), you will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting a modern, cloud-native application that underpins the University’s student learning ecosystem. This is a hands-on, full-stack engineering role working across a contemporary React and Node.js environment, contributing to both major initiatives and ongoing enhancements. You’ll join a collaborative development team responsible for a broad portfolio of applications, with the opportunity to influence architecture, improve engineering practices, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions across the University.

Requirements

  • Strong full-stack development experience (React, Node.js, JavaScript/ TypeScript).
  • Experience designing and building cloud-native applications (AWS or similar).
  • Solid understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration patterns.
  • Proven ability to work in Agile environments and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and integrations across the SEAMS (e-learning) platform.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Lead technical components of projects and guide developers and contractors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and standards.
  • Provide production support and technical advice to stakeholders regarding the use of current or technology for application development.
