About The Position
The Senior Analyst, Procurement plays a critical role in supporting procurement activities through data-driven analysis, supplier relationship management, and contract evaluation. This position involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing sourcing processes, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. The role requires effective communication across organizational levels to influence decisions and resolve supply issues. The analyst will leverage continuous improvement methodologies and digital tools to enhance procurement processes, contributing to the achievement of business goals while maintaining high standards of integrity and operational excellence. The Senior Analyst, Procurement team focuses on managing GNFR packaging and private brand supplier needs at Sam’s Club. This team collaborates with Merchants and Sourcing to ensure product availability while optimizing total cost of ownership. Responsibilities include item and PO maintenance, reporting, forecast communication, and procurement strategy development aligned with business goals. Emphasizing strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and financial analysis, the team drives operational efficiencies. By leveraging data and cross-functional partnerships, it supports continuous improvement and informed decision-making to meet both operational and customer requirements effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement analysis, including supplier relationship oversight.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to prepare and present data-driven positions effectively.
- Expertise in data analysis, management, and reporting using tools such as pivot tables and charts.
- Proficiency in continuous improvement processes and applying data science techniques to optimize procurement workflows.
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and present recommendations clearly.
- Solid financial acumen to analyze business metrics and support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze data to support procurement negotiations and contract management activities.
