About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Private Label Brand plays a critical role in executing Grainger’s Private Label strategy by leading brand transition initiatives, advancing reporting and analytics, and enabling disciplined cross‑functional execution. This role partners closely with Private Label leadership, Merchandising, Supplier Management, Product Information, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing to ensure private brand work is delivered with speed, clarity, and alignment to enterprise objectives. This position translates Private Brand strategy into actionable execution plans, manages transition milestones, proactively identifies risks and opportunities, and builds repeatable processes that improve consistency and decision‑making. The Senior Analyst also owns the evolution of reporting, analytics, and insights to track progress, optimize execution, and support long‑term private brand and assortment growth. This is a Hybrid position requiring 50% of time onsite at either the Lake Forest, IL or Chicago, IL offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of experience reviewing and auditing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency required
  • Experience analyzing data trends and creating reports or dashboards using tools such as Excel, Jira, or Power BI.
  • Experience identifying data quality issues and recommending process or system changes.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional partners to resolve data quality barriers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert on Private Label Branding and process standards for Private Label operations.
  • Review and audit the work of Supporting teams for accuracy, completeness, and consistency of PL Branding updates across product categories.
  • Identify recurring data quality issues, themes and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Analyze performance trends, identify process or technology barriers, and partner with the right cross functional teams to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with necessary Private Label teams to ensure tools, rules, and data structures support quality normalization.
  • Build dashboards or reporting in Jira/Excel/Power BI to track quality and progress.
  • Design and lead continuous improvement efforts that directly impact cycle time.
