About The Position

IPEX is a leading provider of advanced plastic piping systems in North America. They are seeking a Senior Data Analyst, People Analytics to enhance their HR data capabilities. This role involves moving beyond basic reporting to drive business impact by developing advanced, insight-driven analytics. The analyst will be responsible for designing and optimizing data pipelines, building automated data solutions using the Power Platform (Power Query, Power Automate), and creating high-quality Power BI dashboards. The goal is to translate complex HR data into clear insights for business and HR leaders, partnering with various stakeholders to improve data delivery and utilization for strategic decision-making. The position requires building scalable data solutions to improve data understanding, adoption, and application across the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data or technical analytics roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR reporting, workforce analytics, HRIS reporting, or related analytical functions.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query data modeling, and large dataset management.
  • Advanced expertise in Power Query, including complex data transformations, SQL, and automation of multi-source data workflows.
  • Strong experience working with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data platforms for querying and managing large datasets.
  • Strong experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics, workforce analytics, and reporting methodologies.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems such as Workday, Dayforce, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and automated workflows across systems like Workday and Snowflake, using Power Query, Power Automate, and Power Apps for reliable and efficient HR data solutions.
  • Lead the development and evolution of enterprise HR dashboards and reporting solutions, creating high-quality Power BI dashboards for recurring reporting and executive requests.
  • Analyze complex workforce data to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights, translating findings into business-relevant outputs for decision-making.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and external partners to enhance reporting capabilities, implement data solutions, and improve system integrations.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance by identifying and resolving data issues and supporting reporting requirements.
  • Enable scalable, self-service analytics by developing user-friendly tools, establishing best practices, and supporting stakeholders in using dashboards and reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement in People Analytics, supporting the transition to advanced, insight-driven analytics and advancing data practices and analytics maturity.
