As a Senior Analyst, Investment Operations, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the operational accuracy and financial integrity of CPP Investments' global cash management activities. You will execute and oversee high-value payment transactions, perform daily cash reconciliations, investigate operational exceptions, and drive continuous process improvements while partnering across Operations, Technology, and Investment teams to support efficient, secure, and well-controlled investment operations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in investment operations, cash management, payments, or a similar high-volume, time-sensitive operational environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Knowledge of international payment processes, SWIFT messaging, and financial instruments across public and private markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FIS Quantum, SimCorp Dimension, Duco, or basic programming languages is considered an asset.
  • Professional designations such as CTP, CFA, or CPA are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and verify domestic and international wire payments, including settlement instruction setup and counterparty call-backs to ensure secure, accurate, and timely processing.
  • Perform and review daily cash reconciliations between internal accounting records and external custodians, prime brokers, and banking partners.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation breaks and payment exceptions while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to minimize operational risk.
  • Support the continuous improvement of operational processes, workflows, and technology solutions to enhance efficiency, controls, and service delivery, including participation in after-hours and weekend system testing when required.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operational procedures, documentation, and performance metrics that support consistent execution and knowledge sharing.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Operations, Technology, and Investment teams to support daily investment activity and operational excellence.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support to facilitate the timely settlement of international payment transactions.
