Rocket Money•Washington, DC
•$100,000 - $125,000

About The Position

Rocket Money is seeking an experienced, hands-on analyst to manage day-to-day fraud and anti-money laundering (AML) risk as the company scales its member base and financial product portfolio. The Senior Analyst will triage and work fraud and AML alert and case queues, investigate complex matters, document decisions, and use case findings to improve rules, controls, and processes. The role handles both fraud and money laundering risks that may occur in the same accounts and money movements, and serves as a trusted backup to the Senior Manager on Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) referrals and bank partner escalations. The analyst will help put the program’s direction into daily practice and report to the Senior Manager, Fraud and AML. The role works closely with product, engineering, operations, and data colleagues, as well as banking and brokerage partners. It supports day-to-day Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and AML compliance, incident response, independent testing, and partner audits. Success includes maintaining healthy queues and consistent SLA and quality reporting, making measurable improvements to alert quality and manual effort, keeping audit-ready case files, and becoming a go-to expert in fraud and money laundering triage, investigation, and response. The position offers a salary range of $100,000–$125,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits; base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Prepare SAR referrals and supporting case documentation within bank partner timelines.
  • Coordinate with bank and brokerage partners on cases requiring escalation and serve as backup to the Senior Manager on partner escalations.
  • Support incident response by tracing root causes and documenting what changed and why.
  • Review rule and control performance, including alert precision, time to decision, false positives, and loss outcomes.
