About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A is a high-impact role for a finance professional who wants to help shape business performance through insightful analysis, strong partnership, and modern reporting capabilities. This role partners with Finance and business leaders across Skyward’s U.S. Specialty Insurance business to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis; deliver actionable insights; and strengthen data-driven decision making.

  • Working knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools, with interest in applying AI-enabled tools to modernize FP&A reporting, improve analysis, and reduce manual processes.
  • Minimum four (4) year degree from an accredited institution, Accounting/Finance
  • 2–4 years of experience with accounting, financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working at an insurance company is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools preferred; familiarity with AI-enabled tools for reporting, analysis, automation, or process improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help business leaders make informed decisions by developing financial models, analyzing performance trends, summarizing key assumptions, and translating results into clear insights.
  • Partner and underwriting leaders on timely analysis that supports strategic priorities, including financial modeling of new business opportunities.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analyses within planning, financial reporting, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools to improve self-service analytics and reporting efficiency.
  • Develop analysis and presentation materials for quarterly business reviews with divisional leaders and Executive Management
  • Prepare, review, and distribute quarterly profit and loss statements, including variance explanations, key business drivers, and opportunities to improve financial visibility.
  • Promote a culture of personal responsibility/accountability and open communication.
  • Ensure fair and ethical policies and practices in all relationships and operations.
