About The Position

At Centaurus Farms, we develop cannabis cultivation and production facilities and produce high-quality flower and extracted products. We are the parent company operating businesses in Colorado and Kentucky and are exploring opportunities for expansion in Delaware and other locations. The role involves working directly for the CEO to provide a clear view of business operations. The Senior Analyst will handle reporting, analysis, models, and projects across operations, sales, and finance for both the Colorado and Kentucky operations. This role requires a self-directed individual comfortable with data reconciliation and clear communication, with a willingness to understand the physical operations by visiting facilities. Experience with physical products in manufacturing, food, or consumer goods is preferred, though cannabis experience is not required. The position offers exposure to all parts of the company and potential growth into a senior finance or operations role.

Requirements

  • Four to eight years of analytical work in financial planning, operations analysis, consulting, or banking.
  • Self-direction: ability to take a loosely defined question, determine necessary steps, and provide a well-reasoned answer.
  • Comfort with messy data and reconciling systems before reporting.
  • Plain communication skills: ability to summarize findings for executives and explain details to operational staff.
  • Willingness to visit facilities (grow rooms, lab, packaging line) to understand operations.
  • Expertise in Excel, including Power Query, pivot tables, lookups, and auditable multi-tab models.
  • Comfort exporting data from accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), point-of-sale, and inventory systems, and joining the results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with physical products in manufacturing, food, or consumer goods.
  • SQL or a reporting tool such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with state track-and-trace systems (Metrc).

Responsibilities

  • Run the weekly scorecard.
  • Own the executive team's KPI report: production, yields, sales, and labor for both states.
  • Measure performance against the production plan, reporting weekly on site performance and forecast vs. supply mismatches.
  • Analyze sales and margin by product, customer, and channel, including pricing and promotion decisions.
  • Cover the parent company as well as the operating businesses, including consolidated results, debt and capital, shared costs, and new market analysis.
  • Build and maintain models for budgets, projections, and capital projects.
  • Take on projects as needed by the CEO, from short-term questions to multi-week assignments.
  • Make reporting repeatable by replacing manual spreadsheets with automated reports drawing from operational systems.
  • Report on inventory, utilizing data from both operations (physical inventory) and the Controller (value).

Benefits

  • Salary Range $100K - $125K / Annual
