About The Position

Whirlpool is seeking a Senior Analyst Engineer for the Laundry division’s Aesthetic team. This role will be based onsite in Benton Harbor MI. In this role you will collaborate globally with cross-functional teams to deliver superior quality products across Whirlpool brands, ensuring alignment with company targets and consumer needs. As a Senior Analyst Engineer, you will lead efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, and apply these learnings to design solutions that will impact the next generation of home appliances. This role may require international and domestic travel to collaborate with global design studios, attend workshops, conduct research, and participate in project reviews. The frequency of travel will vary based on project needs and business priorities. You will be responsible for developing and executing sub-system modules, ensuring timely delivery and meeting required performance standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and globally distributed teams to define release schedules, manage risks, and address dependencies. Additionally, you will drive the technical roadmap to support product plans and ensure your team has the necessary capabilities. Your focus will be on leading New Product Development to deliver innovative structural and aesthetic components for laundry products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Problem-solving approach with OPEX (Operational Excellence) or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience facilitating effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders (Design, Marketing, Manufacturing,...) and globally distributed teams in defining the release schedule, ensuring all proper sign-offs are in place to deliver our consumers.
  • Develops module/technology roadmap to support Product Plans and attainment of Attribute targets
  • Develop the technical solutions that will enable product leadership.
  • Manage module development vs. knowledge creation and capture prioritization module level resource prioritization
  • Drive New Product Development / Cost & Quality projects for Laundry business with a focus on Aesthetics & structural components (Washer Top panels & Lid Assemblies)
  • Concept development, design creation, concept evaluation & selection, verification & validation and implementing into production (plastics, sheet metal, rubber and glass components)
  • Work with procurement and suppliers to coordinate developing the tools by running the DFM’s and manufacturability reviews
