About The Position

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path within BCG's Financial Institutions Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to regional and global Wealth & Asset Management clients via individual U.S. wealth management industry expertise and institutionalized knowhow (products, tools, data, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific content and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute on cases and proposals with relevant analysis and insights, serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues and create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected. You will support commercialization efforts for the Wealth & Asset Management sector, working in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing complex analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & reusable assets for the business by helping transform domain expertise into scalable products, methodologies, curated data, and AI-enabled workflows, and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your expertise. BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area helps clients navigate a rapidly evolving business landscape. We support clients in adapting to market evolutions, dynamic client expectations, digital disruption, and regulatory shifts. Within the Wealth & Asset Management sector specifically, we help firms develop differentiated value propositions, accelerate growth, optimize cost structures, and enhance client engagement—connecting strategy and technology to transform how organizations work and build lasting competitive advantage in an increasingly complex market.

Requirements

  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research, structured analytical approaches and developing customized solutions in the U.S. wealth management industry
  • Analysing and manipulating data sets in applications (e.g., Excel, Alteryx, AI-enabled analytics platforms) leveraging business judgment and AI-first approaches to generate actionable insights
  • Communicating with case team, client team and senior stakeholders, in a credible, evidence-based and confident way
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic, often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
  • Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years as management consultant with a focus on the U.S. wealth management/private banking sector required
  • In lieu of consultant experience, 3+ years minimum of experience at a wealth management firm required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong business acumen, superior analytical & problem-solving skills, and conceptual framing capabilities
  • Effective written communications and excellent PowerPoint & Excel skills; fluency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with all levels of seniority with internal and external stakeholders, while working in a global collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who served as in-house strategy consultant embedded with a wealth management firm preferred
  • 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the asset/investment management sector beneficial
  • advanced degree preferred
