About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, Pharmacy Services Controllers Group, the Senior Analyst, Accounting supports accounting and financial reporting for CVS performance commitments. The role performs monthly accounting processes, ensures accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, prepares financial analyses, and maintains the integrity of financial data.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Strong planning, execution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively across functions in a large organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines efficiently and accurately.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with SAP.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve analytical efficiency, with appropriate validation of outputs.
• Accounting or Finance concentration in a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes by analyzing general ledger activity, preparing and posting journal entries, and completing account reconciliations related to performance commitments.
• Perform variance analysis and data validation, investigate discrepancies, and respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Support financial statement and internal control audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to requests from internal and external auditors.
