About The Position

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Senior Amusement Manager to lead within the Amusement areas on a daily basis. This role focuses on the Arcade, Virtual Reality, Duck Pin Bowling, and Laser Tag operational areas and employee teams. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, ordering parts, and repairing arcade games, as well as arcade layout and placement. The position also involves staffing, scheduling, and training of hourly staff, cost control, inventory management, upholding service standards, implementing operational procedures and policies, guest relations, and staff motivation, with a strong emphasis on safety and security. The Amusement Manager will primarily lead the Tech team but will support all AIKG operations, working closely with the unit GM and the AIKG Amusement support team to foster an environment of ownership and accountability.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of cost controls
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • At least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of people management in amusement related areas in a Family Entertainment Center with a high-volume environment
  • An interest in and familiarity with virtual reality, arcade games and motorsports
  • Ability to motivate and work with various levels of staff members and leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate authority where appropriate.
  • Proven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff
  • Strong training and development background

Responsibilities

  • Lead team members with integrity and purpose

  • Support the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games Motto “Striving for Perfection, Achieving Excellence”
  • Repair and maintenance of all arcade games as well as VR, bowling, and laser tag
  • Manage multi-unit arcade operations: staffing, scheduling, repair and maintenance, cleanliness, organization, service timing, and quality product
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of staff
  • Provide direct and honest feedback to arcade staff regarding individual performance
  • Manage staff training and employee relations
  • Assure that staff morale is maintained at a high level
  • Take an active part in the recruitment and retention of arcade staff
  • Accountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor and cash control
  • Manage arcade department labor costs within acceptable budgets
  • Ensure the arcade area site inspections are within acceptable standards
  • Manage organization and cleanliness of the arcade area
  • Work closely with Sales Department to ensure proper scheduling and planning for Events
  • Oversee, maintain and inventory areas of unit equipment
