Senior AI Solutions Engineer, Enterprise Knowledge Work

TuringSan Francisco, NY
$260,000 - $400,000Hybrid

About The Position

Turing is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer to join their founding Field Engineering team, focusing on the enterprise knowledge work (EKW) domain. This role is crucial for partnering with frontier AI labs, selling and demoing custom datasets and expertise to train and evaluate advanced AI systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building the foundational processes for the Field Engineering function, including playbooks, demo libraries, and qualification criteria. This is a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI research and development, directly influencing the path to AGI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in applied AI, data engineering, or ML engineering, with significant work on agentic systems, RAG, tool use, or enterprise-knowledge LLM applications.
  • Strong Python fluency and production experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LlamaIndex, DSPy).
  • Experience designing evaluations for multi-step reasoning or agentic systems, including rubric design, trajectory grading, and measurement beyond single-turn accuracy.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise workflows (e.g., financial services, life sciences, legal) and their data/permission realities.
  • High written communication skills, capable of producing scoping documents accepted by frontier lab research leads without revision.
  • Commercial instinct, comfort in customer meetings, ability to read a room, and willingness to be measured on revenue.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a frontier AI lab, an AI startup building agentic products, or an enterprise AI team shipping to production.
  • Experience with agentic or reasoning benchmarks (e.g., GAIA, τ-bench).
  • Background in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical discovery track on qualified EKW opportunities, partnering with Research Partners to understand their agentic capability goals and evaluation needs.
  • Translate research goals into scoped Turing deliverables, authoring technical proposals that can be executed by the Production Engineering team.
  • Build and demonstrate reference agent loops, sample evaluations, and graded trajectories to prove the approach before contract signature, which may involve writing code.
  • Own paid pilot Proof of Concepts (POCs) from kick-off to scale-up decision, designing measurement plans and defining success criteria.
  • Act as an interface between Go-To-Market (GTM) and R&D, pre-digesting technical asks and maintaining a trusted collaboration cadence.
  • Codify successful EKW strategies by documenting discovery scripts, qualification criteria, demo artifacts, and objection-handling patterns for the Field Engineering knowledge base.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation (OTE $260–320K for Senior, $325–400K for Staff)
  • 75/25 base/variable split
  • Equity
