About The Position

Ruby Labs is seeking an exceptional Senior AI Product Manager to lead the AI product direction for one of its core D2C subscription products. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for the AI surface, including defining the vision, shaping the roadmap, specifying features, driving development with engineering, and owning production results. The product serves hundreds of thousands of customers, with AI-powered flows being a primary growth lever across various surfaces like document creation, editing, conversion, and automation. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can operate from vision to detail, bringing clarity to ambiguity, shipping fast, and maintaining a high bar for user experience. Decisions are data-driven, with a strong emphasis on using data to overrule opinions. The role offers significant upside and rewards for strong performance, with opportunities to take on larger scope quickly.

Requirements

4+ years in product management on consumer or SaaS products.
1+ year shipping AI/LLM-powered features to production.
Proven end-to-end ownership experience, taking a product area from vision to shipped outcome with measurable results.
Hands-on experience defining and evaluating AI feature quality (prompt iteration, evals, user-facing failure handling).
Extremely data-driven: ability to pull and interpret data in tools like Mixpanel (cohorts, funnels, A/B design and readouts).
AI-native personal workflow: daily use of AI tools like Claude for prototyping, analysis, and specification.
Track record of growth results on a subscription or engagement-driven product (retention, activation, or monetization).
Vision-setter comfortable with both high-level strategy and shipped details.
Decisive under ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity.
Prioritizes data over opinion and is willing to change positions based on numbers.
Takes full accountability for outcomes.
Direct, fast communicator adept at keeping engineering unblocked and stakeholders aligned in a remote environment.
Maintains a relentless quality bar, shipping fast without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

Own the AI product vision and roadmap, distinguishing valuable AI features from noise.
Define which AI-powered flows to build, scale, or discontinue, based on usage data and business impact.
Identify and develop underscaled product surfaces for growth.
Track the AI landscape (models, tooling, competitor actions) to gain product advantage.
Translate vision into clear specifications, including user flows, edge cases, quality standards, and success metrics.
Drive end-to-end delivery with engineering and design teams, from concept to production.
Use AI tools daily (e.g., Claude) for prototyping concepts considered for production.
Make launch decisions (ship, iterate, or retire) based on data.
Build and manage a hypothesis-driven testing pipeline for AI features (A/B tests, staged rollouts, quality evaluations).
Define and enforce AI feature quality standards (accuracy, latency, user trust).
Analyze user behavior in Mixpanel to identify engagement gaps and conversion opportunities in AI flows.
Partner with the existing product owner for clear surface ownership and fast delivery.
Collaborate directly with the Managing Director on strategy, priorities, and business outcomes.
Align engineering, design, and data teams around a unified product direction.
