About The Position

At Accenture Federal Services, the Senior AI Native Engineering Manager serves as the senior engineer and technical lead for a team, using software engineering and implementation expertise to deliver client outcomes. The role includes hands-on development, code and design reviews, and pairing, while success is measured by the team’s delivery. The manager works with client, product, and QA teams to shape solutions and provide technical leadership on product development, architecture, and delivery practices. The position leads and develops engineers, owns technical direction, and supports planning and transparent delivery. It also applies AI agents and agentic workflows both in solutions and in team practices to improve productivity and outcomes. The manager acts as a trusted advisor on emerging technologies and product development best practices.

Requirements

Strong software engineering background and proven experience as a tech lead or engineering manager.
Front-end experience with Angular.
Back-end experience with Java and Spring.
Experience designing and delivering serverless solutions.
Hands-on experience with AI agents and agentic workflows, and sound judgment about where they add value.
Ability to set direction, build trust, give candid feedback, and drive accountability.
Excellent communication skills with clients and cross-functional partners, both technical and non-technical.
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward outcomes over activity.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in designing, building, and delivering high-quality software, remaining hands-on in code, design reviews, and pairing where valuable.
Own technical direction by shaping architecture, setting engineering standards, and balancing speed, quality, and scalability.
Partner with client, product, and QA teams to refine requirements, clarify scope, and align on solutions and priorities.
Plan and forecast delivery, remove blockers, and communicate status, risks, and progress transparently to stakeholders.
Coach, mentor, and grow engineers through regular feedback, career development, and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Champion quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and close collaboration with QA.
Apply AI agents and workflows in the solutions being built and in team practices to improve productivity and outcomes.
Advise stakeholders on emerging technologies and product development best practices.
