About The Position

The University of Colorado Anschutz, Department of Information Strategy and Services (ISS), is seeking a passionate Senior AI & Business Enablement Partner. This role focuses on improving how people work through AI, process innovation, and organizational change. The partner will collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex business challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver meaningful transformation. This is a unique opportunity to define how AI and emerging technologies are applied across a world-class academic medical campus, working at the intersection of people, processes, and technology to modernize operations, improve efficiency, and create lasting organizational impact. The role combines technical project leadership, business analysis, process improvement, and organizational change management to drive AI adoption and business transformation across the CU Anschutz campus, serving as a trusted partner between business and technology teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Education, or a closely related field (or equivalent experience: 4 years of professional/technical work experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree; an associate's degree with two years of relevant work experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree).
  • 2+ years of experience leading projects and initiatives as a project manager, project lead, or similar role.
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting business analysis efforts through requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and workflow analysis.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with or supporting AI technologies, workflow automation platforms, and digital solutions that enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Strong relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and partnership skills.
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and organizational change.
  • The ability to analyze business challenges and develop practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, workflow optimization, or business transformation efforts.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong facilitation skills for leading meetings, workshops, and cross-functional working sessions.

  • Proven ability to manage projects successfully under various constraints using established project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, including current and future state process mapping.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and the ability to develop and execute change plans that drive user adoption.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, automation technologies, and data architectures, with the ability to apply that knowledge to evaluating, scoping, and implementing AI-driven solutions for administrative business processes.

  • Experience working in or supporting higher education, research administration, grants management, financial compliance, or technology-focused organizations.
  • Experience leading complex projects involving business transformation, process improvement, organizational change, and technology implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-enabled process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AI-enabled initiatives, including project planning, stakeholder communications, risk management, and progress tracking.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, business process analysis, and future-state design to define solutions and drive organizational outcomes.
  • Analyze current and future-state workflows to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and operational improvement.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate operational needs into technology-enabled solutions and actionable project outcomes.
  • Assess organizational impacts and develop change management, communication, training, and adoption strategies that support successful implementation.
  • Build strong partnerships with faculty, staff, vendors, and technology teams to advance transformational initiatives across campus.
  • Promote the responsible and effective use of AI and emerging technologies to deliver measurable business value.
