About The Position

Nexer Czech Republic, a division within DANIR AB, is seeking a Senior AI-Assisted Software Engineer for an international team delivering enterprise platforms for workflow automation, pricing, tender management, and system integration. The role is for a hands-on engineer who can turn complex business and technical challenges into reliable production solutions. The engineer will work across the full delivery lifecycle and use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, improve quality, and drive innovation. The position involves end-to-end ownership of problems, collaboration with product, architecture, engineering, testing, and business stakeholders, and the design and implementation of backend services, web applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud-based solutions. The engineer will build and validate prototypes, iteratively improve solutions, and ensure they meet requirements for scalability, security, resilience, maintainability, and operational readiness. They will also use and validate AI-generated outputs, contribute to technical decisions and engineering practices, troubleshoot complex issues, mentor team members, and communicate technical trade-offs to varied audiences. The role is based in Czechia, with remote work and occasional travel. The assignment is an employment contract at 100% allocation.

Requirements

Based in Czechia.
Strong hands-on experience delivering production software in enterprise environments.
Experience across software development, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, and production operations.
Ability to turn unclear requirements into production-ready solutions.
Strong understanding of software architecture, security, scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.
Experience with distributed systems and enterprise integrations.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience making technical decisions under uncertainty and documenting key architectural choices.
Practical experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.
Understanding of AI-assisted development practices, including validating generated outputs and awareness of AI-related risks.
Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Python, Django, FastAPI, React, or TypeScript.
Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of Kafka, Azure Service Bus, API gateways, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Experience with RAG, Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI observability, or application modernization initiatives.
Background in logistics, pricing, planning, workflow automation, or enterprise platform development.

Responsibilities

Own problems end-to-end, from initial discovery through production delivery and support.
Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, engineers, testers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions.
Design and implement backend services, web applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud-based solutions.
Build prototypes, validate solutions with users, and iteratively improve outcomes.
Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, resilience, maintainability, and operational readiness.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools to support development, testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, migrations, and documentation.
Review and validate AI-generated outputs for quality, security, and correctness.
Drive technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data environments.
Mentor team members and communicate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
