Senior Agent Product Manager, Healthcare

DecagonSan Francisco, CA
$200,000 - $285,000Onsite

About The Position

Decagon is seeking a Senior Agent Product Manager, Healthcare to lead the delivery, adoption, and expansion of AI solutions for healthcare clients, including Payers, Providers, Pharmacies, Labs, and Life Sciences. This role involves being the primary technical and strategic owner for customer accounts, building trust with leadership, scoping solutions, and developing AI agents. The position is a unique blend of executive influence, product building instincts, and founder-like ownership, focusing on end-to-end outcomes for high-stakes healthcare accounts. It is a senior individual contributor role where the person will make independent, high-stakes decisions and leverage Agent Deployment Engineers and partner teams for execution. The role requires shaping the healthcare product roadmap and strategy, working alongside healthcare product and GTM leadership.

Requirements

  • 6+ years owning ambiguous, high-stakes outcomes and earning the trust of senior executives, with at least 3 of those years in healthcare. This includes engagement managers, project leaders, and senior managers from top consulting firms, as well as product managers, founders, and forward-deployed or solutions roles at high-growth technology companies serving healthcare organizations.
  • Real fluency in how healthcare actually operates — how a health plan or health system is organized, where member and patient friction lives, and how care, claims, and contact center operations connect. You can hold a substantive conversation with a clinical leader and a CIO in the same meeting.
  • A builder's instinct. You want to design and build the actual solution, not just diagnose the problem or manage someone else who builds it.
  • Strong technical acumen. You can understand and shape AI agent designs and hold your own in a technical conversation with both engineers and executives.
  • Experience shipping in regulated, security-reviewed environments — HIPAA, BAA, PHI minimization, SOC 2 or HITRUST — where a launch depends on privacy, legal, and clinical sign-off as much as on the build.
  • Executive presence and a track record of becoming a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers at large, complex organizations.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape the solution as much as you implement it.

Nice To Haves

  • A Computer Science, Engineering, or Math degree, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
  • A clinical, public health, or health policy background, or direct experience designing under clinical safety constraints.
  • An MBA, or equivalent experience at the intersection of business strategy and technology.
  • Experience selling, deploying, or advising on enterprise software or transformation programs at the Fortune 500 level.
  • First-in-vertical experience at a prior company, where you owned the pattern and not just the project.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AI transformation and technical deployment for Decagon's largest healthcare opportunities, partnering with Sales, Solutions Engineers, and Agent Deployment Engineers to build working agents that turn sophisticated, skeptical, compliance-gated buyers into signed customers.
  • Serve as the executive partner to the C-suite of Fortune 500 companies, defining and driving their AI transformation roadmap and owning the relationship from first conversation through production and expansion.
  • Design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade agents for high-volume healthcare workflows: benefits and eligibility, claims and prior authorization status, patient access and scheduling, Rx and adherence outreach, care-gap closure, post-discharge follow-up, and HCP inquiry handling.
  • Own the trust posture on your accounts — PHI handling, consent, escalation to licensed clinical staff, guardrails on what an agent may and may not say, and the audit and compliance evidence that security review will ask for.
  • Turn the frameworks and playbooks you develop into reusable healthcare assets that scale across accounts and feed directly into Decagon's product roadmap.
  • Direct Agent Deployment Engineers and partner teams to deliver at scale while you stay accountable for the outcome.
  • Run tight feedback loops into Product and Engineering, shaping the healthcare product based on what you learn on the front lines of our most demanding deployments.
